From Boy to Man.....

When our children are little we always ask them...

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Most of the time we get the ...A Ninja or Garbage Man or Dirt Digger....

and so you wait....and watch them grow from big school young men....

As time goes on we see them transform right before our eyes....

My oldest found a passion....Drafting....

He started taking Architecture classes and some sculpture classes.....and found his niche

He found out he loves autocad ...and designing....he entered a design on a house and he heads to State Competition this weekend....He leaves Sunday and comes back Tuesday...HOW EXCITING IS THAT?

I am the proudest Momma around....I've told him whether he places or not...this is a fun neat awesome cool experience!! (I think he knows haha)

His teacher has given him some words of encouragement and has told him that he hopes Gray sticks with this because he's really good and recommended him for the Advance Class next year. Little does this teacher know that Gray's love language is Words of Affirmation!

In his other class they are working with are some cutting boards he made recently....I use the one on the right daily! (can't you tell)

He'll txt me from school (yep they are allowed ...or just don't get caught) photos of the stuff he is working on.....I'm the typical mom shouting how great his stuff is....

Seriously though....the cutting boards are perfect...(I'm not bias)

(now if only I can get him to cut his hair)

Different note....

this sweet boy is growing into one funny, adventurous, crazy, talkative, and spirited young boy.

He's in his bumps and bruises and rough and tumble stage....falls and gets right back up again

He also thinks he's a comic....a bug chaser.....dollhouse destroyer.....his new talent...biter. (ugh)

Sweet blue eyes has me under his spell though

Don't forget to enter my giveaway from yesterday!! free books....don't pass that up!

AND THAT LEMON CAKE? WAS TOO DIE FOR...the whole family moaned with pleasure!

I think I'm inspired to sub lemon zest for vanilla bean...and lemon juice for vanilla....and vanilla yogurt for lemon....HELLO 2ND YUMMY GOODNESS!

That's it...Free Books!!

Today is Wednesday....You know what that means?! In Laws for dinner.....I am making Vanessa's Make Ahead Beefy Lasagna

and a Moist Lemon Cake

I found it stuffed into my recipe folder....from the March 2009 Family Circle issue. (hello what took me so long?)

Anything with Lemons is a hit in our house...esp since this has fresh lemon zest, juice, and lemon yogurt in it!!! How mouth watering does that sound?

I've got my tiniest helper ready with her chair and apron on.

Granted it takes twice as long (or three times) when she's helping....but nothing warms my heart more than my little momma helping and learning with me in the kitchen!

WEEKEND RECAP....♫ Weddings ♪

Spring break is over for us....we had off last week.....which was terrific b/c it seems everyone and their dog had off the week before us!

Things were quiet (as quiet as it can be with 5 kids) .....a few of the kids went to see the infamous "hunger games"......I can tell you all about the book in 3 mins flat....I read the wiki haha

Mini Me and I had a day to ourselves.....we went to a wedding! Love is in the air...and yes I cried!
My favorite part of a wedding? When the groom sees his bride for the first time! We knew the bride...I met her back when she was 13 and I was preggers with Mini Me.....she is the sweetest babysitter I've ever had...will never find another like her. She and her new HUSBAND have been dating since they were 16 and were each other's first boyfriend and girlfriend.... They are truly a sweet sweet couple!!

The wedding was outside...I had no idea....I'm usually religious about my sunscreen everyday....this morning I was running behind....trying to find something for my obese belly....getting reid down for a nap...and trying to sneak out so littlest princess didn't notice she wasn't coming.....I forgot my sunscreen lotion....I've had stage 1 and 2 skin cancer...scares me to death....they have to remove a nice chunk the higher the stage...and of course stage 4 isn't where you want to be. I'm not a doesn't run in my family....I don't use tanning beds...was prob burned as a child at the pool in the's a scary thing! anywho

The whole time outside I was in a panic thinking my skin was burning and I was gonna sign my death warrant....Mini Me swore she could smell her hair burning off....(sad thing it wasn't even that hot...maybe 80's...but sitting in direct's hot?) The poor wedding party was sweating....and the groomsmen and suits and heat don't mix

I cried of course when I saw Rachel....I was fine until I realized this sweet little girl has grown up and CAN marry! She looked so pretty in her gown....Mini Me said she looked like a princess. I have to admit Mini Me looked so pretty too. She had on the prettiest Pink dress

and she was all grins at being pampered at the reception!!

The reception was inside and lovely....I cried again at the couple's first was to a Jason Mraz song called "Lucky"..sweet words...perfect for them!!

...they had one of those photo booths....Mini Me and I got some photos too!

While Mommy was away...sweet daddy took the 2 smallest creatures to the park....Dude Friend took a huge tumble off the stairs and has wood chip burn on his head and face....looks pretty bad...I of course freaked b/c I wasn't there to comfort him like a momma does. Hubs said he a sippy of juice and kept right on running to play! Still...I don't do falls well!

Remember that garage sale online on FB I was telling you about? So far I've sold close to $300 of stuff of Lily's....Still have her Pottery Barn crib bedding to sell...Noticed a stain on the quilt and doing my best to remove it .....I kept looking around the house thinking
"what else don't we need anymore?"
I'm on a roll

Hubs was worth his weight in gold over the weekend....he cleaned my garage out and organized it and swept it. He's been asking me to do it for months....(studies nails...yawns) He did an outstanding job.
I may have may or may not have mention he's a compulsive organizer! Handy thing to have around

My birthday is coming up soon (16 days but who's counting??) ...and every single year I make the same Strawberry Triple Decker Cake from Southern Living

The April issue of Southern Living came and ohhh my the cover was all about strawberries....I was in heaven....gonna make the Strawberry Lemonade Muffins w/Strawberry Curd

....but this year for my birthday?

The Strawberry Mousse Cake.

God knew what month I should be born in.....STRAWBERRIES ARE MY FAVORITE!!!
Same icing as the other cake....(something NOT TO LEAVE OUT SINCE THE ICING MELTS IN WARM TEMPS)...but the mousse filling and cake is different...worth the amount of time it takes...b/c it looks divine!

What's your favorite cake?

I'm On A High....

Selling High that is....

Well it seems it's time to part with some of (ok all) of my baby girl clothes. We kept all of Lily's and all of Reid's in the maybe hopes we'd have one more kid again....and well that day came....and that day shows it means
"Hey Laura...part with your girl clothes and make room honey"

I can't part with her 0-6m stuff. I can't explain why.....but I can't. The other problem....

Our neighborhood has a facebook classified section (gotta love free sells sections) and I listed a ton of far I've made $45 just on summer pjs, a swim suit and 2 pair of her shoes.

I'm running around like a mad woman now going through all of her shoes and summer stuff to list. Whatever doesn't sell I guess is off to the resale shop.

What is it about selling and earning that feels terrific?

On different note: I learned a valuable lesson...

Never walk into a sleeping babies room at night to cover him....

I woke up around 5am and felt a little breezy...the temps in the house dropped from 72 to 68 and so I grabbed the covers.....covered miss Lily and then thought about sweet Reid.....I sometimes find him in a ball sleeping under his arms.....

So I sneak into his room and pop my head over the crib....only to find him on his back playing with toys and of course...SPOTTED ME

Up he popped like a jack in the box....ready for hugs and snuggles...

He's been sleeping through the night for about 2 months now and has only woken up about 2-3 times...each time I did nurse him back to sleep....(or tried to)

I'm trying to break that habit....and I should have last night....I should have rocked for about 10 mins and then let him fuss....

Lesson learned....but crazy boy.... playing at least he was quiet!!

I'm off to list some more things....this is fun

Pregnancy Brain Fart.....

I'm embarrassed to even admit this.....but it totally goes to show you where a woman's brain goes when she's pregnant....totally out the window.

This morning while taking the little chick-a-dee to the potty I happened to glance in the mirror....I caught sight of my reflection and the first thought that popped into my mind?

"I'm getting fat...I look pregnant"

Then I sat there for a second realizing the truth to that. I mean really Laura?

When I was making the pancakes and instead of pouring in the milk to the bowl and creamer to my coffee....I added creamer to the bowl and milk in the coffee....(wonder how those pancakes would have turned out if I didn't notice my mistake)

When I start the wash and forget to add the clothes....only to go back later to move them to the dryer and see a tub of water staring at me....

I'm surprised I leave the house with pants on these days at the rate I feel like I'm going.

Sweet Bean hit the 20 weeks marker yesterday! Fluttering right alone. We cleared a space out next to my bed for a little pack in play until we buy a new crib to put in the room with Reid. I'm thinking IKEA...I can't bare to spend a fortune again on a crib when it's the last bambino. When baby starts sleeping through the night (which sweetie...Mommy thinks by 4 weeks would be terrific hee hee) he will share a room with his big bro Dude Friend, Alexander, Bigs Boy, and Kenneth...aka Reid!!!

As for theme? I totally had another thought....FORGET THE FARM/BARN. I'm gonna do solid/madras bedding with the accents of different ABC's...inspiration? Pinterest of course.

Look at these? I am sooo now on the hunt for crazy letters....if you find any....send me a txt....I need to hit more flea markets!

I love the Cross for the T...and thought a Map print for the M would be cute...and Hello....that HUGE WOODEN BUTTON FOR THE O....I have my work cut out for me...

Still thinking of names...I have a handful I love....I guess we should have 4 more boys so I can use all the names up! (honey, I'm soooo kidding if you are reading this)

Hubs and I are trying to eat more protein and veggies and less sugars and carb for the next 20 weeks....(HELLO I'M NOT WANTING ANOTHER 10 LB BABY)
Last night we pan grilled some skirt steak and I made a Soy Mustard Sauce....Can I just say I would drink that if I could it was that good.

You must make this....

Did I mention that 1 tbs of sauce along with the skirt only had 2.3 carbs per serving? Oh Yea Baby...that's what I'm talking about!

Courtesy of Cooking Light April 2012

  • 1 teaspoon canola oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons minced fresh garlic
  • 2 tablespoons lower-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 3/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro, divided

Heat a small skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil to pan; swirl to coat. Add garlic; cook for 30 seconds or until fragrant. Add soy sauce, mustard, and sugar; cook 1 minute or until bubbly. Remove pan from heat. Stir in cream and 1 tablespoon cilantro. Cut steak diagonally across grain into thin slices. Sprinkle with remaining 1 tablespoon cilantro. Serve sauce with steak.

This post was a little of this and that.....just a sample of what's in my brain today....and this is only the tip of my brain! (grins) Stay out...hubs says it could be a scary place to enter! So enter at your own risk!

It's A ..........

Sorry quality was poor but you get the idea!!!

We had family and friends over last night to see the baby reveal.....I made pink and blue and blue cupcakes...had pink and blue and blue balloons.....the group was and blue were equal!!!

It was a fun way to share the excitement of what we were having with all our friends! Sad to think this is our last little bundle of joy....but I think 6 is a good strong number.

To say I was shocked is an understatement! I could have sworn it was a girl! I was even ready to hang pink curtains I was that sure Then again I should have known better ....NOT ONE PREGNANCY WAS I EVER RIGHT IN WHAT I WAS THINKING!!!
I swore each baby was the opposite of what I found out it to be. I'm like that with my friends....I swear they are having a ____ and it's the opposite. I've never been if I guess what you're can bet a million bucks it's the opposite!!

We're still tossing names around....Hubs said today that I could choose one name of my liking and he can choose the objections from the other person....I like that for me...but scared to see what he comes up with....did I mention his favorite hero was Conan the Barbarian? NOOOOO haha imagine that poor lad on the playground?

All in all we are thrilled to add another sweet BOY to our family! Reid (or Kenneth) will love having a buddy so close to his age!!

I'm off to plan the theme. Reid's stuff is still in use...and of course I have to sell Lily's cute pink stuff now.....I'm thinking barnyard theme! I loved planning Reid's 1st I think I'm sold....

Got any ideas?

Miscellany Monday ---- 19 Weeks and Sex Party

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

one. 19 weeks

yes you read that right....19 weeks....where is time going? this has been the fastest pregnancy in all creation. (now that i said that it will sloooooow dooooown and drag out) i still feel terrific..granted i'm not getting huge yet and the baby is still the size of a tomato. (which doesn't seem right since they say it's 6" head to bottom)
I can still move and shake like I did before I was pregnant. And in 2 days I will be able to see sweet bean wiggling around and find out if we even the numbers of boys and girls in the house....or if the boys outnumber us 5 to 3.....stay tuned!!!

two. doomsday

hubs has been FORCING ME asking me to watch that Doomsday Preppers show with him to realize the extent of what COULD think noooo it never could...but honestly with the way things are heading in our government many of our rights are being ripped out from under our noses with a blink of an eye......POINT IS THAT SHOW IF IT EVER DID HAPPEN SCARES THE BEEGEEBEES OUT OF ME. I can't eat packaged food that you add water too to make a meal if it comes down to it....I guess that means I'll never make it as an Astronaut one day huh.

three. my mommy

sweet lady is here for the week to visit. here's to a fun filled week of laughing our pants off for no reason at all!!!

four. more of Lily

sweet girl is a hoot i tell you. if you spent a few days with us she would cure all your sadness. she renames Reid on a daily basis it mom was showing her a picture of Reid a few days ago and she said ohhh Alexander. today she is playing and is yelling at Kenneth to look at her and do what she says. Kenneth isn't cooperating maybe b/c "Kenneth" doesn't have a clue who you are talking to. (giggles) we were on a walk...and she spotted a little girl and her daddy walking...Lily shouts.."Hey River" (never seen them before in my life) her dad said "What did she call her?" I tried to explain that she makes names up for ppl....but then again this man doesn't know my sweet Lily so it probably made no sense. (his loss)

five. quick and super easy

want a meal that takes seconds to throw together and tastes pretty good to boot?

Rosina's Spaghetti Meatball Pie

Spaghetti MB PieMakes 4 - 6 servings

24 Rosina Italian Style Meatballs

1/4 cup chopped green pepper

1/2 cup chopped onion

1 - 8 oz. pkg. spaghetti

2 eggs, slightly beaten

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1.25 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese (reserve 1/2 cup)

26 oz. jar chunky spaghetti sauce

Preheat oven to 375ºF. Sauté peppers and onions until softened, about 10 minutes. Set aside. Cook spaghetti, drain and rinse with cold water and pat dry. Place in large mixing bowl. Add eggs and Parmesan cheese and stir to combine. Press mixture into the bottom of a sprayed 9” pie plate. Top with 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese. Thaw frozen meatballs in microwave for 2 minutes. Cut each meatball in half. Layer the meatball halves over the cheese mixture. Combine spaghetti sauce with cooked peppers and onions. Spoon over meatball layer. Loosely cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese over the spaghetti sauce mixture. Continue to bake uncovered for another 10 minutes until bubbly. Cut into wedges and serve.

hubs was skeptical at first....but he ate it and then even said "wow...not bad for a throw together meal" (basically meaning I can file away to make again later)

six. gender or sex

so i'm having a few friends over for a gender reveal.

hubs asked "what is that?"
me: "don't be know what it is"
hubs: "it's not's sex"
me: "well I can't ask our friends and neighbors to come to our "SEX PARTY" ... how would that look?"
hubs: "makes you wonder which ones would show up"

You Know What Today Is...

No, No, it's not sono day....THAT'S A WEEK FROM TODAY BABY!!!!

Lily has informed me still...that baby Rose is growing in my belly bump and daddy has baby Bridgette growing in his bump...bahaha (clears throat)

Yep, it's Wednesday dinner with the Inlaws...

I've been cooking and prepping up a storm this morning....Already have 2 Pineapple Upside Down cakes cooling on the stove...all veggies are prepped and I'm about to make the biscuits in a hr (Momma needs to shower and eat something)

I STOLE borrowed this adorable cookbook from my MIL gosh back in November. I think she has since realized it's not coming back and in fact asked if I would like another volume from the collection for my birthday...YES PLEASE.

The cookbook is called The Gathering of Friends...and I have made those giant meatballs and fantastic sauce and the foccacia and a few salad dressing from the book. They pretty much knocked my socks off...

Well tonight on the menu?

Spicy Honey Glazed Chicken
Garden Fresh Rice
Parmesan Baked Veggies
Savory Cheddar Biscuits

I have been doing some non stop thinking of these recipes for days...and can't wait to get my lips on delicious babies

All recipes and photos (poorly taken on my part) are courtesy of The Gathering of Friends cookbook

The Art of Sharing....but only the things you hate...

Ahhh Sharing. That lovely concept of giving up something that is yours and giving it to someone else. I mean who came up with that huh? Why would I want to share my piece of pie with you...get your own.

Ohh right! Because it's the right thing to do and sharing actually makes you feel good inside. Now that Lily has a little person to share with, we have been working really hard on this concept....Sometimes it works....Sometimes it doesn't

As you can see by this photo...we are in the "if I reach it really high over my head you can't reach it" stage.

We're a work in progress

Gray and his GF asked for some caramel sauce for their ice cream the other day....well I had some cream in my fridge that was ready to be thrown what does any mother do? Makes Caramel Sauce

I may or may not have pour it straight from the jar into my mouth...and got caught.

Only took 3 ingredients....sugar, cream, and butter and made my house smell lovely to boot.

Pinterest my lovely friend....You have sometimes failed me...and sometimes made me jump for joy...from my camera strap

to the door thingy I made for Reid's room...

To my craft desk that I made from an old the Moss Covered S and burlap banners...

To some of the meals that (excuse me) sucked. To the ones that rocked our socks off.

I do love you...You have made me feel more creative and inspired than I have been in ages.

We have a dresser that we can't figure out what to do with it...Well Pinterest made me realize what we will do with it....

Awww another day of Pinning and actually making the stuff to show I am productive

Why I Hate Sponge Bob

Hate...that's a strong word....

I know there are parents and kids alike out there that love that little nasty germ filled sponge that never gets a good sterilization.....but that little bugger rubbed me the wrong way....and he's everywhere....I can't even go to the store w/o seeing him on every aisle! Too bad he's not on toilet paper...Now that I might buy!!! Ask Lily "What is Sponge Bob?" and she'll tell you "BADDDD" haha and she's never seen an episode!

So..... about many years ago...put it this way...oldest was in 4th...he's in 10th now.....The kids had been begging me to watch Spongey....I said no...why? Well no reason really...the show just looked annoying.....and they kept begging....and I kept saying no...then it dawned on me....ALL OF THEIR SHOWS WERE I said yes, but I would watch an episode FIRST with them and then decide. So there I sat...bored and totally not impressed but didn't find anything to horrible with the show said I said ok....(cheers from the crowd...)

I know I know I'm such a mean mom and all....the show says it's geared towards preschool age but the older kids get a kick out of him too.

Several days later while making dinner....the sponge is on in the background....I can see the tv while cooking....the kids are glued to the tube and I'm sort of paying attention to the show....and I hear something....wait...what did I just see?

The story was something about a 'fake' food inspector was coming around to the restaurants...and sponge and the cook got wind so they thought they would put vomit....and flies....and other nasty stuff in the food when the 'fake' guy came.....sure enough....the 'fake' guy comes in and they serve him. Next thing....the 'fake' food inspector kills over....and they show it by putting big X's over his eyes. Sponge and the cook get all excited...the 'fake' food critic is dead. UMMMM WHAT? THEY ARE CHEERING AND EXCITED? Why on earth are they cheering that they killed this guy? How is that cool to teach kids?

But I can't quit thing sponge and cook see on the telly that the 'REAL' inspector is coming around and show a picture of him....and it's a pic of the 'fake' one that sponge and cook killed. They panic...(ummm really?) and they try to hide the body. They put him in the trunk of the car and drive to a hill and start to dig a hole. (are you with me so far?)

then it starts to rain on them...

As they are digging the cops come (oohhh scary) the cops stop to chat with Sponge and Cook and ask if they need help digging? (hey cops we are burying a dead sec will ya?) and then ask how much longer they will be b/c they want a Crunchy or Crusty or whatever burger.....As it's raining the body slides out of the hole and down the hill....and if I remember right the cops help them put the 'bag' back in the trunk for Sponge and cook....(lovely I tell ya)

SO back to the restaurant they all go.....Sponge and Cook are freaking at this point and stash the body in the freezer to make food for the cops (surely we are getting great lessons out of this right?)

Well I don't really remember the rest of the story....I think the guy wasn't dead but more 'in shock from nasty food' and he lived. (hip hooray! right?)

What's the moral of that story we teach to our kids? It's ok if you kill someone...just bury the body when it's not raining and away from cops? Ohhh and sometimes it turns out ok and you didn't really kill the guy, he just passed out?

I thought the point of shows was to teach a cute lesson....ohhhh You know how on Bubble Guppies they teach to sit at a table at a restaurant and order and eat your food like a good boy or girl? Or the time Blue's Clues was teaching the kids to use their memory to retrace their steps if they lost something....or how Team Umizoomi teaches the kids about patterns?

I'm not sure the lesson I'm going for as a parent is to teach my child how to hide bodies....

When I told a few of my friends what I saw and how they should be careful what their kids watch...their response was "ohhhhh that was only 1 show"

mmmmmm maybe only 1 show they caught or didn't catch...but seriously that one show spoiled the lot. But what worries me is....what other 'great lessons' is Sponge Bob teaching kids mixed in with bad humor?
It reminded me of a story our Pastor told us one Sunday....(I'll break it down in a few sentences)

If I made you batch of delicious smelling brownies...and added an extra organic ingredient that was POO...would you still eat it? I mean it was just 1 ingredient....the rest still has eggs....chocolate....water....flour.....and poo. ? Same thing...that one episode spoiled the batch!

You decide!

You won't find that germ infested pile of poo playing in our house!

Side note....18 weeks today....I still feel terrific....still growing like a whale...and guess what? Next week we get to see sweet bean...and find out if he's a she or she's a he! woohoo! I'm beyond thrilled!

Pregnancy Hormones....The Laughter Kind

I seriously have had the giggles lately. Everything that seems to happen is really are a few things this week that got me in stitches...Again probably not funny to anyone else, but I couldn't stop..

I have some really big glass jars that I have some of that chalkboard vinyl on for labels. I have a sugar, powdered sugar, flour, and rice jar. I usually have the words in French....through use (touching and grabbing the jars) the words were smearing so I wiped them all off and was looking for chalk to rewrite them. Being me....(clears throat) I got side tracked and never got around to rewriting them. I KNOW which jar is which though...they are always in the same order. Enter hubs

He went to make some dinner on Tuesday night....Shrimp in a garlic lemon sauce....he used the "flour" to thicken the mixture...I kept seeing him make faces...and kept adding stuff to his mixture. I was busy doing other things and not totally paying attention to him....I remember looking at the counter and thinking..."Why is my Powdered Sugar jar out?" Light bulb goes off....
"Ummm honey? Did you use that jar on the counter there?"
"Yes? why?"
"Well b/c that's not flour....that's powdered sugar"
"Well that explains why my shrimp and sauce are really sweet and not the flavor I was going for"
Me....uncontrollable laughter. I mean I know it's funny, but not that funny, but I couldn't help myself....
He ate it anyways...

Around dusk Lily, Reid, Me, and the In Laws were outside letting the kids play...the neighbors came out and all the kids were playing.....then it started to get dark out....but the fun continued....
Out on the upstairs balcony Kate comes out and hollers for me to come up...I holler back that I will in a minute....I tell her to come to us...and she cries NOOOO
She comes back out a few mins later...same thing ....and I said same thing...In a min
A few mins later...out she comes AGAIN. This time we pack up and go in.....Upstairs I go to her room....only to find her in tears WITH A COMB TWISTED AND TANGLED IN HER BANGS. I couldn't help but bust out laughing. Which of course had her crying more. I told her that was a huge mess and either I could work it out....or we'd have to cut it out...(it was really bad) She cried harder....I laughed harder. I ended up working the comb out and all was well! She learned the hard way that you don't twist your hair around combs....and ask someone else to help you because your mom is a freak.

Back before Reid was born Lily would take a bath at night with Barbie and Ken. She named Ken Dude Friend....(That is where Reid got his nickname...)

So last night I remembered Ken and Barbie and got them out for the 2 buddies to play with in the tub. I handed Reid Dude and Lily Barbie.....Reid stared at Ken for a a weird expression...then got up in the water on his hands and feet (like a bear) then looked at me with horror and belted out screaming in terror. Again...I busted out laughing...(great mom huh....he's terrified and I laugh) I guess a naked Ken Barbie in the tub is enough to scare anyone huh? I'm dying to know what was going on in his head.

But with each of these I start laughing and can't stop....the kind where you can't look in pain, but you're really laughing...and the minute you think you're done you start up again.....It's good for the soul.

I'm pretty sure sweet bean growing in my belly thinks I'm totally insane already. It's not alone....the other siblings already know that.

The Best Day Ever.....

Yesterday started off slept perfectly (I did mention Dude has been sleeping through the night for about a month now right?'s about time huh) I got dinner started in the slow cooker and dessert made all done by 8 am....I pulled a Pinterest recipe out and was not disappointed...

although I altered it a bit...we added some ham base and a few chunks of potatoes (added at last hr) that I had leftover in the pantry calling for a meal. I say this was a hit...

Then off to the Galleria to meet the Mother In Law for a day of shopping....first stop? American Girl Store....Lily has been really into babies lately....Which is totally fun considering the fact that Mini Me had baby dolls but never ever got 'into' it. She could take them or leave them. Lily on the other hand just exploded in the "I need to feed, dress, change, play, and put my baby to sleep" My MIL went crazy on Lily....(don't judge...grandparents are supposed to spoil) she got another bitty baby...this one has dark hair and blue eyes....Lily has since named her Lucy. Lucy got a baby food....a play baby food mixer....bowls....sippy cups....bird spoons....bottles....blankets...back pack....

a couple of changes of clothes....(and I had to buy the matching outfit for Lily) MIL also bought Miss Thang Julie the American Doll...have you seen the cool 70's girl?

Lily walked the mall with Julie...holding her hand and showing her the sights....Then off to the "special" shoe store...where Lily got 2 new pairs of shoes....her choice...and Reid got a pair too...(yea Reid) Then some clothes...Miss Thang picked out 2 dresses....a hello kitty bathing suit and hello kitty rain coat. Reid got a cute Cookie Monster stuff animal that he pleasantly chewed on the entire trip....Lily picked Pizza for our lunch....which both kids inhaled....I was impressed at how well they did.....long day and totally totally fun!

The minute in the door we had to dress and change and feed our baby a million times. Lily needed to match so off our clothes came and we pranced around happily matching Lucy. When my inlaws came for dinner, Lily dragged her "old dad" off the park and she had to bring her baby and baby carrier! (grand dads are terrific)

Before bed we had to change back into the baby pj's and she fed her baby....don't get me started on how she slept with all that....she was one proud mommy!

Before bed Lily told me that was the "Best Day Ever" (grins)

This morning has been more of the same....Ive already put Lily's dress in the wash for her to wear her's again to match Lucy....(Lucy of course has been fed and changed again this morning)
This photo cracks me up....she said she needed to be "swerious for her photo with her baby" notice the hand motion as if she is a Price is Right model showing off the prizes....

The kids have been playing in the backyard...Lily is on a trip taking Lucy to "Americas" and picking wildflowers....Reid is along for the ride she said....

I had forgotten how incredibly fun it is to play baby dolls...(and how much easier they are to care for haha)

On a side note....this sweet guy is 13 months today....ain't he a handsome soul!!
