What I've Been Up To...

Absolutely NOTHING.
The big kids have been at camp all week....
So I haven't shopped....cleaned...(yep you read that right...bring it on)....I've done maybe...1 load of dishes a day....vs my 4-5.....not one project that I've needed to get done....(I think I have done laundry...except now that I think of it I forgot the load in the garage...since like Monday...ewww)

Yes....the 2 other kids are still alive and here.  Just they are easier to feed...since they don't eat much...and don't require anything but my attention....I've colored a million a million princess castle  (I always had to be prince though) and chased kids around.  My neighbor brought a huge sack of boy toys she was getting rid the kids have been having a ball playing with moving cars and tool boxes.  (gotta love V-tech toys)

Life is good...

(although I did look around the kitchen and dread cleaning it today)

Hubs and I did go on a date last night....yes, yes, it was Dinner w/the In Laws....I did have some stuffed bell peppers and a tuxedo cake (all thanks to Costco) for them and they enjoyed it.

The kids didn't even notice we were gone....we did some water play outside and snuck out....when we came back they were still outside playing water play.  (prob should have stayed out longer)

I got to put a dress on (more like a sack since I'm so huge) and I carried a 'real' purse.

Hubs took me to Pappadeaux's.   I know ....jealous right?
We split a greek salad....bowl of lobster bisque and blackened salmon ...LIFE WAS GOOD.

Hubs said I talked non-stop there...all through dinner...and the whole way home...all he had to say was "Uh huh...yep..."  I think he over exaggerated.  (I heard him speak...he ordered food....)

I did try to do a little shopping for baby C this week....All the clothes I have are 3-6 month winter (reid was feb baby) ....there were some great sales....problem was....all size 3m were taken.  It's as if someone knew I was coming.  I went against newborn size....I mean after all...Reid was 10 lbs...prob lil bro will follow in his foot steps! My first 3 babies were under 7lbs.  Lily 8.11 and then Reid.  Oddly he isn't big today...You'd think since he started out 3 lbs heavier than a normal baby, but nope...he's only 25 lbs and 17m (on sunday)

I had my 34 week midwife appt ....all was well...nothing to report other than I HAVE 6 WEEKS OR LESS....

So there you have it...I've done NOTHING all week and I LIKED it.

From Girl to Boy

Oh I joke about having 3 girls instead of 2....(not really)....
Yes if you don't nag they will finally come around.....and boy did he ever!
Oldest child said he wanted a to get his haircut....yeah yeah we heard that before... I would take him and when I would pick him up he only got a trim....well take a look at what I found when I picked him up today?

(looks outside to see if pigs are flying....)

yes to say I was shocked is an understatement!  Poor Little Dude Friend just kept staring at his big brother like he wasn't sure who he was!!!
The girl did a terrific job...she said it looked like a small dog on the floor from all the hair she cut off!

I couldn't be more thrilled.....and I didn't even have to beg!

I did have a laugh..he said when he stood up he felt off balance at how light his head was....and it's nice to see around him and up w/o having to move his hair!

Today is a very good day!  (see I'm easy to please)

33 down 7 to go

Weeks...can you believe 7 weeks or less?
I'm so not ready ....Did I mention that?  Poor 6th child.  He has no clue what is waiting for him in our house.  Then again maybe he does.....he can hear and is hiding out.  I think that is why I go to 40 weeks....They hold out for as long as they can ....I mean who wants to enter the CHAOS ZONE

Yesterday Lily had a meltdown.  No idea why.  And it was early still...Lunch Time.

Big sissy and her friend were sitting at the new little table...(all the big kids are enthralled by it) and so all the chairs were gone...Meltdown #1....we solved that by having Kate get a tiny stool and sit there....

But it wasn't well yet....Lily wanted food.  "get my food"  she shouts
Ummm  I don't think so Missy...ask again....
Which of course sets off this confusion of .....(probably her thoughts during her screaming like a banshee)  "how dare you not feed me...don't you know who I am....?  I want food...I said food people get on it....why are y'all just staring at me screaming my head off....I only have one head ...I mean don't I?  where's a mirror?  Yes one quit staring and MAKE MY FOOD PEOPLE"

Of course she didn't say that, but she was wailing so loud I have no idea.

I told her if she didn't settle I couldn't find out what she wanted for lunch.

In between sobs she's saying  "a _____ samwitch"

I had no idea what word was in the I tried to think of every combination of what the _____ was.  I was wrong....b/c each idea I gave made her scream louder.

Which had me getting angry b/c Sweet Dude Friend just went down for nap....AND NOBODY WILL MESS WITH MY SLEEPING BABY....

Between sobs I got out that she wanted a Girl Sandwich.  (no idea what that is....)  but somehow I calmed her.....Big sissy and friend by this time fled the kitchen.....oldest boys fled too asking how I can stand the crying  (mind or hers?)

I ended up putting 2 of her bears at her table for a tea party and made her a ham 'GURL SAMWITCH'
She smiled like a sweet angel if she never threw a tantrum.

(deep sigh)

I thought we were about to start again when I gave her bears some 'real' food...she yelled at me....

(ok ease down there need to freak....)

I think baby C hears all this and taps me on the belly...."Hey Mom...I'm gonna chill inside for as long as possible....You're nuts if you think I'm ready for this..."

That's ok Son....Mommy has no idea what you will wear or sleep yet....bahahaha

Reid and Baby C's seasons will be off.....Reid came that day of our ice storm....(February) and this baby comes in the heat of our 100+ weather.

No need to panic right?  I mean I have 7 weeks or less....

But I am starting to panic!

I have so  much to do...I've got a list of Pinterest projects to do....Meals to freeze....movies to watch....pools to visit.....a pedicure to get....a date with hubs to still go on....
oh and get things ready for baby!!!

It's also starting to sink in that this sweet boy....

isn't going to be my baby for much longer.....Here  he is with his New Kenneth Chair...

ur really not missing much here with the baby bump picture....picture a pregnant whale mixed with a moo cow!  Mini Me has been dying to take a photo to document each month...I get sidetracked and next thing I know another Month has gone are a few to prove to sweet C that he really was in my tummy! I tried to get one of my face...but each time I was either talking or looking at Reid running around the porch!

Here is the famous Bathroom Mirror shot....All it shows me is I really need to wipe my mirror down daily!  Between Mini Reid splashing in my sink...Lovely!

Orange French Toast w/ Caramel Syrup

That's what I'm talking about....
The kids have been begging for French Toast....why not make it awesome then.
Besides the fact that I'm craving citrus these days....

I ran across this recipe in the April 2012 Cooking Light magazine.  It was actually it was an ad for Diamond Crystal Salt.

Orange French Toast with Salted Caramel Syrup

Yield: 4 servings

  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest, grated
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon Diamond Crystal® Kosher Salt
  • 8 slices country white bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Orange French Toast Directions

  1.  Whisk together milk, eggs, orange juice, zest, vanilla, and Diamond Crystal® Kosher Salt in a medium bowl. (This can be prepared up to 1 day in advance.)
  2. Pour egg mixture in a shallow pan.
  3. Dip bread into egg mixture, and soak for 45 seconds.
  4. Melt 1/2 tablespoon butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Place 2 slices of bread into skillet. Cook to golden brown, about 3 minutes on each side, and keep warm. Continue with the remaining slices of bread.
  5. Serve immediately with the warm Salted Caramel Syrup.
Now I didn't use their recipe for Caramel Sauce....I used Ree's....Recipe Here

I've found so many recipes I am excited to try...esp this one from the Philadelphia Cream Cheese peeps

Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream

1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
1/3 cups whipping cream
2 tsp. lemon zest
1-1/2 cups fresh strawberries
3 HONEY MAID Honey Grahams, coarsely chopped

Mix first 4 ingredients with mixer until well blended. Freeze 4 hours or until almost solid.
Beat cream cheese mixture with mixer until creamy. Blend berries in blender until smooth. Add to cream cheese mixture with chopped grahams; mix well. Freeze 8 hours or until firm.
Remove dessert from freezer 15 min. before serving; let stand at room temperature to soften slightly before scooping into dishes.

Sounds simple and easy enough...
I have yet to purchase an Ice Cream this is the next best thing....

What treats are you making this summer?

Oniony Goodness Meatloaf

I'm a meatloaf girl.....I mean what better way to make a meat dish with 'stuff' inside.  One of my all time favorites is the Diner Meatloaf Muffins.   Lately I have been experimenting with different recipes too.  Especially when you can stuff mozzarella sticks inside...mmm (anywho)

Last night I think I found one I would love to make again!

French Onion Meatloaf

2 pounds ground beef
¼ cup grated onion
2 cups seasoned stuffing
1 can (10.5 oz.) French onion soup
2 eggs, lightly beaten
teaspoons dried Thyme
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup shredded swiss
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 can crispy fried onions

Preheat oven to 350. F.
ln a large bowl, mix together. beef, grated onion, stuffing, soup, eggs, Thyme and black pepper until well combined.
Form into a loaf about 9 × 5 inches and transfer to the Perfect Meatloaf pan.
Pick up Perfect Meatloaf pan by the sides, transfer to oven and bake 50 minutes
Remove meatloaf from oven by sides of pan and top with shredded cheese, grated Parmesan and crispy fried onions.
Return to oven and bake 15 minutes more, until cheese is melted.
Remove Perfect Meatloaf pan from oven by sides of pan to a cooling
rack. Grip insert by handles and líft meatloaf from pan.

Now remember I mentioned a few days ago how my mom gives me gadgets?  Well one of them was that Perfect Meatloaf Pan....I'm not real happy with it....I mean the idea is great....It keeps the meat off the grease that falls...problem took an extra 45 mins on top of the 1hr that the directions say.  Not a good thing when you have all your sides finished and hungry kids.  Meatloaf has NEVER taken me hr and 45 mins to bake.  Not sure if it was the pan or what?  I was not amused!

The question was the taste?  I LOVE LOVE LOVED IT!

I'm a sucker for french fried onions....and french onion soup.  If you are will enjoy this....

All My Little Projects....

I don't know about you, but I have a million little projects I have  around the house that I need to start.
You know where you head off to the store and buy the tools....and then roll up your sleeves to dig in....and then life happens....1 of ur 5 kids...or heck 3-4 of them in my case call your attention and the project gets left unfinished.

Kind of like this blog post....These few sentences have taken me over 30 mins.  How come the kids never want me when I'm unloading dishes or doing laundry.  I mean I would love to leave those projects unfinished (grins)

So yet again .....I hit the garage sale fb site and score a cute little kids table for a song.  It needs work though.  I'm not hip on the white and wood colors.  I mean I would if it wasn't in my kitchen.  My kitchen has browns/blacks/steel/tan/leather I'm thinking.......

Paint this little table black and rough the edges to give it a rustic feel.  I also want to paint my pantry door black so I'm gonna start here and work over there (see more projects I will probably never get too)

after taking this photo (and yes they are eating donuts...I'm heading to the midwife and didn't want to fix breakfast...L A Z Y) I realized all the crumbs I will forever be cleaning up from the floor.....

So here is to all of you that have projects we keep meaning to get too....maybe if we start taking more before photos we will actually get an after too

Reasons I Love Being a Mom....Part 563

I woke up yesterday morning to find a note on the coffee pot with a quarter attached.

The note said.

"Mom this is for being such a terrific Mom.  Even though the quarter was yours to begin with"
Love, Kate

Aw sweet motherhood...I had a 5 in my wallet....I guess I'm only worth $.25  haha

(better check and see if the 5 is still there)

Miscellany Monday .....8 weeks to go....

lowercase letters

one. 32 Weeks EEK

Did I type that right?  8 or less weeks to go?  (ok we all know me...and we all know I go to who are we kidding?  it's 8w to go)  I say less weeks b/c I really want to go July 31st.  I know I'm crazy, but you see....I have a charm bracelet and each of the kids have a birthstone charm on it...Hubs then bought his stone and mine to complete it.  Back after I had Reid and bought his to add...the lady told me they were discontinuing the charms...I didn't think about it at the time....until I got pregnant.  Well here I am and poor C will not have one to match.  BUT WAIT....HUBS WAS BORN IN I HAVE HIS see.  This baby can't come in Aug (grins) He needs to be a week early so I will have his charm.  Crazy I know... (again I never said I wasn't crazy)

I still feel terrific.  I mean I'm as big as a house...I did start to swell....I don't recognize my knees/ankles/toes and face.  My clothes don't fit ...which scares me b/c what am I supposed to wear in public for the next 2 months?

two.  Kenneth

Remember the post where sweet Lily gives a new name to Dude Friend all the time...sadly that has seemed to stop.  But Kenneth sort of stuck for us.  The kids said we should name baby C Kenneth.  Nahhhh BUT ....when hubs was looking up baby names....(Scottish and Irish names...b/c that's what we are) We found the name of the first Scottish King.    His name was Cináed ....guess what that translates to?  KENNETH.  How crazy is that?  Part of me felt like we should.  (I said part)

So instead we named Reid's stuffed giraffe he sleeps with Kenneth.
Last night I went to check on all my babies before turning in myself.  I always creep into Reid's room and pop my head over the crib.  I freaked out.  Kenneth was sitting on Reid's back.  Hello the thing usually sits in the corner of his crib.   I just stood there and stared at the thing wondering how on earth it got there....was it his attack giraffe?  Should I leave it?  Of course I picked it up...and put him back where he belongs.....Kenneth now creeps me out.

three.  Boys and Toys

Even though I have met some really crazy women who share things they shouldn't on the FB garage sale site...I have made some great new friends...and sold a ton of stuff and bought a ton of things at terrific prices.  Saturday I had a brilliant idea.  Lily no longer plays with her Pink Bubble Lawn Mower....but Reid does.  Sweet boy pushes that thing all around the house and outside.  I thought heck fire....with R and C both being boys we need a boy color one.  I thought I would sell the Pink one and Buy the other one...but a light bulb went off.  I put up a message in the group with this photo

saying I wanted to trade the pink one for a blue one.  Hubs said NO ONE would want to trade....sure enough about 20 mins later a lady said "ME ME ME"  ....she has 2 girls and would love love the pink one....We met up in the Walgreen's parking lot giggling.  Thankfully her's was in great shape too...(ours was)  I was a bit worried thinking I might have been making a trade down...whew!  Reid is sooo excited....

(yes those are crumbs on his face....)

four.  Menu Monday

You didn't ask but I'll tell....Sadly this week is lame....but ....

Today's  meal I have yet to's from Ree's cookbook
(photo from her blog)

Instead of mashed potatoes ...I was craving Broccoli Cheese Rice Casserole's fantastic as a leftover and REID inhales this stuff!!!

For her recipe on the chicken click HERE

All recipes are or will be on my blog...except this Friday's....I will post it looks fantastic.  You can't go wrong with meatloaf....speaking of meatloaf......

five.  Mom and Her Gadgets.

My mom (ok me too I admit) Love those As Seen on Tv things.....she usually buys them for me and brings them on her visits...I have received the Pancake batter Pour thingy (I've yet to use)  My favorite...the Vidalia Chop Wizard.  No idea what I would do without this one.  I use it daily!  Eggies (we eat hard boiled eggs...yet to try this one too) and The Perfect Meatloaf Pan.  I usually have to make 2 meatloaves at a time...but still it was sweet of her.  Inside it came with a recipe booklet.  There are a handful of recipes I'd like to try....but esp this one on Friday's Menu.  French Onion Meatloaf.  It calls for a can of French Onion soup and some of those French Fried Onions (for top)  Hello!  I'm a freak for anything french oniony!  I'll keep you posted on how it turns out.

More from the Community Crazy Garage Sale Fb Pages....

Remember this post?  Well something happened again yesterday. I guess some get angry...yesterday I just laughed and shook my head this time. I'm pregnant and don't get out any drama (or crazy ppl other than me make me smile now)

I noticed a few ppl listing and selling those Nintendo ds lite game console thingy.....well we have a handful around the house and the big kids are not really into them anymore so I found one with some chargers and cleaned it up and listed.  I put more than I thought I would get ($40)....and sat back to wait.  Within a few seconds of listing a lady (we'll call her Mother) asked me if it was in good condition.  I responded promptly with "yes in good to excellent used condition"  ...she didn't respond....but another lady (we'll call her C) said "I'd like it...."  then a 2nd message "I pm'd you"

Great I thought....that was fast....checked my messages and C said she would also like a few of the games I listed with the ds...and that her hubs would pick it up after work....I gave her my cell # for easier communication and thought all was said and done.

While I was in private message with C ....all heck was breaking loose on the thread

Mother comes back and says..."so Did I get it or C...since I asked first"  (technically she didn't....she asked condition)

C responds..."I asked first....sorry"

enter the Daughter....Daughter responds how rude it was for giving it to C when Mother asked first.....AGAIN MOTHER NEVER ASKED FOR IT....and how I should follow the rules (there aren't any on this....) about first come first serve

new girl response..."why don't y'all grow up this is only a game....quit fighting"

daughter "(insert dirty word starting with F) and You"

RIGHT THERE I WAS SHOCKED....Are you kidding me?  This is an adult woman....not only 11 yr old daughter reads this with me since she usually tells me when someone responds to our stuff to respond for me....

Then daughter says...."I guess it's who you know now days"  I guess she was implying that since I sold it to C I knew her....

I decided to respond..."Wow...nice language....and for the record I don't know either lady.....if Mother you would like it so badly then I will let you go first"

Now another lady jumps in and says "HEY LADIES IF Y'ALL WANT A DS I HAVE ONE FOR SALE"

Daughter is still getting ugly on the board....I sit here amazed...

Others join in at how petty and insane this has gotten....

Another lady tells me I should just donate the thing instead of selling it (ummmm NO ...I don't think so)

Mother says now that C can have it b/c she will get the other one  (REALLY MOTHER.....)

C tried to be nice and and decline

Problem is I'm not selling to MOTHER OR DAUGHTER...I don't appreciate the language.  Come to find out....they got kick off another community site for the same exact thing....starting something and getting ugly.

I sent C a message telling her that her hubs could come by later to get it....

I ended up deleting the post b/c it got ugly....But not before I was laughing hysterically at the whole thing....

I got about 4 txt messages from ladies shocked at the whole thing and apologized for what I was going through.  I sort of laughed about it....(life is too short to freak out all the time)

Funnier of the ladies stopping by that morning to buy something was the lady in that original post I mentioned.  The one that got really mad at me for wanting to offer more for an item b/c I was tired of ppl hem'n and haw'n if they wanted it or not.  She's the one that started a whole new post just about what I did mentioning how rude it was.....which started the whole topic of it was a no no....blah blah

Well I told hubs I would never buy from her...but if she bought from me...I wasn't opposed to take her money.....Lo and behold she bought 2 things....

When she came to pick it up she was the sweetest person ever....we could have totally been friends....then later she txt me it was nice meeting either she let it go or she totally didn't know who I was...
and either way for me I had another giggle

But there's more ....(sorry It's dragging on)

Later that night when C's  hub came to pick up the games he chatted for a bit....I had mentioned how in talking with his wife we were both preg and due shortly....C is due July Aug 6th....this is her 5th my 6th....I found out she has been on bedrest pretty much the whole time.....(boooo)  then in talking with him I asked if it was ok if I asked why she was on bedrest.....he mentioned she had Lyme disease....and then bells started going off...

I KNOW HIS WIFE....oddly enough...I don't KNOW her...I read about her....I've been reading her blog for about 2 yrs.  HOW CRAZY IS THAT....

So of course I ran to my phone and txt her my blog name and sure enough she knew me too!  We had a huge laugh!  SMALL WORLD.  I hadn't read her in ages b/c she ended up changing her blog name b/c ppl were getting mean and and leaving rude comments about her illness.  Her story is so amazing!  I can't even imagine what she goes through on a daily basis!

I guess it was meant to be to sell it to her......Please stop by her blog and read her story!  She's an amazing girl!  Mommy2allgirls

All about Foody...oh and Hey I'm Pregnant

I made the Pecan Praline Lime Pie last week.....I've never made a Lime (or Lemon for that matter) Pie.  I know shocking right?

This one by far was a winner...we had a guest added to our Wednesday night father in law's cousin....she was pet sitting near us and I told her to bring it on down for the 'famous' wed dinner.

We had crispy chicken w/creamy sauce (I HATED THE SAUCE BY THE WAY) garlic steamed green beans....copy cat Red Lobster Cheddar Garlic Biscuits...and this pie

You must make....seriously it was fantastic.  The toasted pecans in the crust...and the layer of caramel made this over the top.  I think just about every single person commented on those 2 things

  • 1 1/4 cups chopped pecans
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumb
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 Tbsp. jarred caramel topping
  • 2 (14-oz.) cans sweetened condensed milk
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 2 teaspoons Key lime or lime zest (I prob added a tablespoon...I'm a zest lover)
  • 1 cup fresh Key lime or lime juice
  • 1 1/2 cups whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp. powdered sugar

  1. Preheat oven to 350°. Bake pecans in a single layer in a shallow pan 8 to 10 minutes or until toasted and fragrant, stirring halfway through.
  2. Stir together graham cracker crumbs, next 2 ingredients, and 1/2 cup toasted pecans until blended. Press crumb mixture on bottom, up sides, and onto lip of a lightly greased 10-inch deep-dish pie plate.
  3. Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven to a wire rack, and cool completely (about 45 minutes).
  4. Sprinkle remaining 3/4 cup toasted pecans over bottom of crust; drizzle caramel topping over pecans.?
  5.  Whisk together sweetened condensed milk and next 3 ingredients. Gently pour into prepared crust.
  6. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes or until almost set. (The center will not be firm but will set up as it chills.) Cool completely on a wire rack (about 1 hour). Cover and chill 4 hours.
  7. Beat whipping cream at high speed with an electric mixer until foamy; gradually add powdered sugar, beating until soft peaks form. Dollop or spread over pie.
Yesterday I made another Southern Living Cake....(it's Wednesday after all).  This was rich creamy and another winner.  (I saw hubs sneak a piece this morning ...which rarely happens)
  1. 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  2. 1/2 cup shortening
  3. 2 cups sugar
  4. 5 large eggs, separated
  5. 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  6. 2 cups all-purpose flour
  7. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  8. 1 cup buttermilk
  9. 1 cup flaked coconut
  10. Nutty Cream Cheese Frosting
  11. Garnishes: toasted pecan halves, chopped pecans

  1. Beat butter and shortening at medium speed with an electric mixer until fluffy; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add egg yolks, 1 at a time, beating until blended after each addition. Add vanilla, beating until blended.
  2. Combine flour and soda; add to butter mixture alternately with buttermilk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Beat at low speed until blended after each addition. Stir in coconut.
  3. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form, and fold into batter. Pour batter into 3 greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans.
  4. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pans on wire racks 10 minutes; remove from pans, and cool completely on wire racks.
Spread Nutty Cream Cheese Frosting between layers and on top and sides of cake. Garnish, if desired.

Nutty Cream Cheese Frosting
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (16-ounce) package powdered sugar, sifted

  1. Bake chopped pecans in a shallow baking pan at 350°, stirring occasionally, 5 to 10 minutes or until toasted. Cool.
  2. Beat cream cheese, butter, and vanilla at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Add powdered sugar, beating at low speed until blended. Beat frosting at high speed until smooth; stir in pecans.
From Pinterest last week I made that Caramel Candy Popcorn was ok...Nothing I will make again ...but fun to make first time

I also made the Crispy Chicken w/creamy sauce.  As I said before...the sauce was sounded like it was gonna be ok...It had milk/crm chicken soup...and a container of that new Philly Cream Cheese Italian Herb tub..I thought great.  But holy molly it gave me the shivers......The chicken was fact the kids asked for it again...I'm making it tomorrow...but this time with good ol CREAM a good southern girl.

Speaking of gaining weight (from all this cake and food talk)
I was officially 31 weeks preggers on Monday...and 30 lbs heavier.  (let the party begin)
I swore I was only gonna gain 20 this time around...(chokes down laughter)  I mean I'm not really surprised why I've gained....I KNOW what I NEED to do...but my appetite tells my brain differently!  Belly always wins....
Still doing well....just heartburn still and I get out of breath faster...(I always carry my babies high)

All the kids have felt baby C move and thump and roll....we put a remote on my belly to watch it do the 'wave' the other night ...the older boys got a huge kick out of that!

Massive swelling hasn't kicked in yet...but I'm sure it's only a matter of time....we are now reaching temps in the 90's ....I'm starting to feel the heat.

My mom's in town for the week....YEA.  Yesterday was her bday and we ran errands all stop we made?  Chick Fil A for the fam.  I stupidly took the drive thru and we waited....The line was usual.  It had also wrapped around the building....
here I drew a diagram (grins)
Point is....the drive thru line wrapped around twice....which made it difficult for those of us who got our food to move....
Yesterday I got my food from the window....but they still had more and it wasn't they asked me to pull forward.  Which I did...far enough so the person behind me could get out.....problem was...since the line wrapped twice around building the person behind me couldn't truly get out b/c there was a line of cars there.
We hear some man yelling....I assumed it was the guy behind us asking the lane next to him to let him in...
I motioned for the lady in the lane next to me to go since I was waiting for food...(I think she thought I was leaving and didn't want to block me)

And the guy behind me was able to move around me and leave...

Then the next guy in line was literally freaking out...He's screaming out his window.  Then he gets a chance to pull next to us and is screaming at us through his window.  His face was bulging and beet red.  He's yelling

My mom and I just sort of stared at him like he had 5 heads and waved.  I mean seriously dude...if anyone needs to get a clue it's you.  You came at lunch time to a busy busy busy establishment.  And then had the gall to scream like a maniac at a car waiting for food.

In all fairness there weren't any parking spaces to pull into...and if I had I probably would have never been able to pull out again when I got my food.

The manager came out and tried to stop traffic for me to move...I told him ...No ...I was not leaving I was waiting for my food...4 sandwiches still and 2 kids meals....Trust me I'm not moving...I paid.  Then I told him how some man just screamed at us like a lunatic..He asked which car...I said the one peeling out around the corner....The manager didn't seem to care anymore at this point.  He pointed to the building next door and told me to go there....I told him to make sure they knew where I was b/c there were so many cars I didn't want to not get my food.

Needless to say my mom and I couldn't stop laughing at the anger in this "get a clue" guy....and then used that as a lesson for the big kids about how ppl react to things while driving.

Life is too short to have a heart attack over a drive thru line.  Stop...take a breath and slow down!

(I can't say I didn't secretly wish that man got a speeding ticket today or ran his car into a curb...or found a flat tire when he left work for the day....would probably make his blood pressure soar again...but would serve him right)  Ok I'm so mean and horrible...but hey GET A CLUE DUDE.  (grins)
