Today I walked outside to find this....
Pretty huh? We assumed nail since they are starting to build again in the neighborhood....but after we got it off we saw it had busted on the other side....a nice 3" shred ...hubs said the tires were old but still had wear...but he was afraid it might happen again, but this time when I'm driving with the kids....so off he went to the tire place and Mommy got new tires. I told hubs that at 4 am I woke and heard a loud bang sound...I thought something fell off the wall (one of my clocks)....hubs now thinks my dog ears heard the tire popping.
Well happy early Mother's Day to me!!!

We hit some garage sales this weekend...I'd been dying for one of these with the big kids....well....my dream has come true....(wasn't as cool as I pictured in my head)
Lily was ready to drive....Reid was ready to be passenger. He loves loves being outdoors and riding on toys....so he didn't really seem to mind who was driving (he should....she was crazy)
She doesn't really steer so basically I had to run beside her steering for her. I was begging the battery to run low...but it didn't.
two. 25 weeks
Yes....can you believe it? 25 weeks are already under my belt (or belly as it is) Hello.....time flies when you're having fun! Yes, so far it is fun...b/c I still feel terrific. (typed while having heartburn in my throat) But seriously....I feel terrific...other than bigger than a whale and can't fit into my clothes....and giving Dolly Parton a run for her money! So far so good....summer heat stay away! 13-15 more weeks until we see sweet.......
three. bye bye coop
Yep....we no longer have the name Cooper for the boy. Poor Lily....she has no clue how many babies we are having. She still thinks I am having a girl and boy. She told me when I got pregnant it was a girl....so in her mind it's a girl named Bridgette and a boy named Cooper (or grouper as she says)
We really really love the name Coop, but there are thousands out there! As much as we love it...and as much as I want it....we can't....soooooo we have another new name! Still keeping the C letter.... I thought the name was made up....but we found it was ranked close to 4000.....so I am guessing it will be rare to find another boy with the name out there.
I am wondering if I should even tell Lily b/c she's already confused....for now I told her the baby doesn't have a name b/c we are still deciding....her response?
"that's ok momma....he can play with bridgette and cooper too" (deep sigh) AND THIS IS THE REASON YOU DON'T TELL YOUR TODDLER BABY NAMES BEFORE YOU ARE SURE.
For now he'll be baby C....b/c I think we are sold on the C names...and this last name is a WINNER WINNER!
I'm making strawberry muffins today....again...my sweet of choice! God knew what He was doing with these!
five. my 6 animals...
ok well technically I have only 5 animals (children) as of this week....hubs has given me those pretty Pandora bracelets...one is full of charms when we were dating/wedding/life together...the next one will be friends and children.
(after taking this pic I realized the animals go in the wrong order...I need to flip em...chicken goes first...oh well)
I have a charm to represent each child....and I realized Lily is missing hers.....I searched the books....but seriously...there really isn't a charm to capture her in 1. (grins) I want to do the Owl charm....she was obsessed at one time...(it's her big girl bedding if she will ever leave our room) and she has a ton of owl pillows. Hubs said No b/c she doesn't care now....but I thought..."it's a reminder of her then...." (seriously the girl was obsessed)
I wonder what sweet C's charm will be.
This is actually working better than I planned....the kids can't get a (pricey) quarter until they do something for me. Now the oldest child will look at me and say "Nah...not worth the quarter" (lazy) but the others feel it worth it and scurry off to do what I say! (deep sigh) I should have thought of this years ago!
seven. bump again
Sorry couldn't help a morning bump pic. This is pretty much how the bump is....Reid attached to it too! C is already learning the art of sharing!

the other day this chick makes a reference to me...not using my name, but the incident and says how rude it was. Basically calling me rude.
OHHHH here's where it got crazy!
Another lady listed a tall clock....you know me and my clocks right? All I could picture was this clock painted to look like the Mora Clocks I only dream about....she had it listed for $25. Hubs said I could pay $40....so here we go....
ppl wanting to wait to see it....or ppl who might be interested....so I made an offer to pay now and come now and offered $35
BOY DID THAT SPARK AN ISSUE
2 chicks got a big miffed...their feathers ruffled....one of the ones wasn't even interested in the clock...she was the chick who I had the bidding issue on the desk with. It was her friend selling the clock. Chick A (we'll call her)...Said My friend (the seller) was mad when this happened to me.....sold means sold. So You can't offer more.
(for starters she wasn't even one of the first ppl interested on the desk....2nd she was bidding WITH me on the desk if she was soooo offended they why did she keep up'n the bid?)
Then chick B pipes in and says I THINK THAT IT IS RUDE RUDE RUDE (yes 3 times) when this person (points to me) does this outbidding thing! Chick B went on a bit more and I was thinking how this has turned petty! I mean really? If the seller didn't want to sell it and make more money that's her problem...i'm not turning down an extra bucks for my stuff.
Now Enter yesterday
Chick B starts in again in a diff post....out of no where ...this is her comment
And outbidding the person who claimed the item is a garage sale no no in my book. Once and item has been "claimed" it is spoken for, it's rude IMO to then try an coerce the seller into ditching the previous poster in favor for your higher offer. This is of course my opinion, but I have had hundreds of online purchases on chat boards and have NEVER run into that problem until these Facebook page sales.
haha....now I'm coercing ppl! I offered cash to show up then on spot! It's her/his choice to take it or not....Again...too many ppl sit and don't buy and it's annoying....I get the first come first buy rule...but if you are going to play games....why not have another person come in and offer extra cash now on spot?
So I couldn't hold my tongue any longer! I had to speak back....
I mean she is calling me rude yet again! So I said something along lines of how ...aren't we all here to make money and sell our stuff quick? (goodness knows i want my stuff gone too)
I said something about how too many ppl 'think' about being interested and days go by or the person never picks it up....I said I thought there is nothing rude about offering more...it shows interest and ready to buy!!!
Of course she responded and said this isn't ebay and if I wanted to outbid ppl I should go there (whoa)
I wanted to be a 2 yr old and tell her she seems to be a sore loser about things...but I pulled my 2 yr old tongue back and said nothing back....then I wanted to hit her. I've probably only wanted to hit about 3 ppl in my life....and I'm 38....I now have to add her to the list... Call me immature but I hate being called rude and talked about over and over for something sooo ridiculous! Needless to say she commented a few more times (I guess it made her feel better) and then her friends commented back backing her views up of how rude I am. (Me rude???)
(throws hands up)
I'll let it go later....but the petty 2 yr old inside me hopes I have something to sell that Chick B wants (chick A for that matter) ....b/c I'm not selling it to them!

About 30 mins later lo' and behold someone put one down and her cousin snatched it...WOOHOO FOR ME!!!! I know it's not the same as me getting to actually meet her, but still! I got an autographed copy and I'm happy!
Last night I thought I would honor the sweet Red Head by trying one of her recipes from her show the other day!
Twice Baked New Potatoes and Meatloaf (covered w/bacon)
Both were pretty dern good .....Her meatloaf was moist and terrific...the potatoes needed a bit of tweaking but rocked!
I like reading reviews first to get a feel of what others are saying....a handful said the potatoes were coming out dry.....Here's the lo down.....
- 1 cup milk
- 6 bread slices
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup grated Parmesan
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt, such as Lawry's
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup minced flat-leaf parsley
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 8 to 12 thin bacon slices
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 6 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- Dash or 2 hot sauce (more if you like)
- Dash or 2 Worcestershire sauce
For the meatloaf: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Pour the milk over the bread and allow it to soak in for several minutes. Place the ground beef, milk-soaked bread, Parmesan, salt, some pepper, seasoned salt and parsley in a large mixing bowl. Pour in the eggs. With clean hands, mix the ingredients until well combined.
Form the mixture into a loaf shape on a foil-lined broiler pan, which will allow the fat from the meat to drain.
Lay the bacon slices over the top, tucking them underneath the meatloaf to give the meatloaf some support.
Next, make the tomato sauce: Pour the ketchup into a bowl. Add the brown sugar and dry mustard, and splash in the hot sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Stir the mixture until well combined. Pour one-third of the sauce over the top of the meatloaf.
Bake for 45 minutes, and then pour over another one-third of the remaining tomato sauce over the meatloaf. Bake for an additional 20 to 25 minutes; the meatloaf should be no longer pink in the middle. Allow to sit 10 minutes before serving.
I didn't change a thing on the recipe! Turned out great!
Twice Baked New Potatoes
- 12 new potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 1/2 cups grated Monterey Jack cheese
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon finely minced fresh chives
- 1 clove garlic, pressed
- Salt and pepper
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Drizzle the potatoes with the olive oil and toss them to coat. Roast until the potatoes are tender and the skin is slightly crisp, 20 to 25 minutes.
Use a spoon or small scoop to remove the insides, leaving a small margin of potato intact.
To the scooped out potatoes, add the Monterey Jack, cream cheese, sour cream, chives, garlic, and salt and pepper to taste. Mash until the mixture is totally smooth. Give it a taste and add more salt if necessary.
Scoop the mixture into the potato shells. At this point you can cover and refrigerate them until dinnertime. When you're ready, bake the potatoes in the oven until golden brown on top.
1. my potatoes took about 20 mins longer....(allow yourself about a hr when doing the potatoes)
2. I used cheddar cheese instead of Monterey (it was all I had)
3. I added 1/4 - 1/2 cup milk to the mixture to try and fix the dryness everyone mentioned....and it worked!!!
The kids loved the little hand sized side dish!!
What's on your menu for tonight?

The weather has been lovely lately and the little ones and I have either been on walks looking at ducks and the ponds....or playing in the backyard.
My Star Jasmine is starting to bloom and the fragrance is incredible...the wind will blow and you catch that sweet smell and close your eyes and savour the scent...
....it's like reading a Jane Austen novel ....wearing those beautiful empire waist dresses ....while skipping through meadow with your betrothed....(ok sorry....I'm in a lovely mood)
Our back fence has about 6 or so bushes that are starting to really take over...my vision is for them to cover the entire small fence....(besides it would prob drive the dog mad he can't see out and bark at birds or leaves)
The little kids love to pluck the flowers and bring them to me....I was covered yesterday.....No matter...I smelled beautiful!! My little side kicks kept me entertained
(I'm usually a jungle gym...I'm guessing Coop won't mind)
My sweet baby boy (for another handful of weeks)
Lily throwing flowers and watching them rain petals
Sweet baby is growing perfectly....so far so good...I feel terrific and truly have no complaints yet. (ask me again when the Texas heat hits)

Lily....(covers eyes) was sitting at the kitchen table playing with her LaLaloopsy Mini Dolls....(If I took a picture of what her daddy and GiGi has purchased for her you would die) anywho...
I hear her singing something and first reaction was ohhhhh how sweet.....then it was one of those moments where I paused what I was doing and cocked my head to the side like...."did I really just hear that?"
What was she singing? Sir Mix A Lot's "Baby Got Back"
I mean really!!! She's 3....
I hear her repeating...."Oh my gosh Becky Look at her butt"
Part of me should laugh, but the mommy side is horrified!
Of course I asked her who taught her that song....and her answer shocked me
I won't embarrass the child
Lily is like a sponge right now....I hear her say "Oh dang it" when she dropped something....Again not another good mommy moment.
Us mom's are like sponges too I guess.....the other day A bloggy friend Jen posted about a gum ball machine she scored at an auction. She said she thought this might make a great potty training reward. (me like)
Now let me just say Jen finds the greatest things at auctions...some great furniture that she fixes up....I'm all in envy of what she can do.....but when she posted about the gum ball machine....I knew the kids would jump up and down...(as much as me...I mean who isn't a sucker for those round fun colorful balls?)
For weeks I've been scouring the internet for a used one...(used gives character) It wasn't as easy as stumbling upon one .....and most new ones are made of plastic....
Mini Me would watch me searching the internet and help....(I rarely get out to flea markets...Lily and Reid aren't much bargain hunter partners....)
Yesterday I was on our neighborhood fb garage sale sites and BOOM....a lady posted 3 different machines....I jumped on one of them....it was sooo adorable (and old)....it was a 3 slotted one.....My sugar candy rush went into over-drive....all I could picture was...Gum in one....Skittles in one....and some other fun candy in another.....My bubble burst when the girl said she wasn't sure gum balls would work in it...so I passed...(then later googled and they would...booo on me)
So I settled on this one.....
Now it may not have a ton of character like a beat up one with the 3 slots....but we'll make our own character with it. I rushed out to pick it up to surprise the kids.....(hubs just slapped and shook his head...he does that often)
I'm off to Costco today to fill this sucker up!!! (and to the bank for quarters haha)

But if you are around and don't mind baking....then this is def worth the wait.
I usually always make Southern Living's Triple Decker Strawberry Cake....but last month the April issue came and there was a whole section on strawberries. (if you know me then you know I am giggly for strawberries)
One of the cakes inside was the
Strawberry Mousse Cake
- Cake Layers
- 1 1/4 cups butter, softened
- 2 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 7 egg whites, at room temperature
- 3 1/2 cups cake flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- Strawberry Mousse
- 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
- 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup whipping cream
- Strawberry Frosting
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 5 cups powdered sugar, sifted
- 3/4 cup finely chopped fresh strawberries
- 1. Prepare Cake Layers: Preheat oven to 350°. Beat 1 1/4 cups softened butter and 2 1/4 cups granulated sugar at medium speed with a heavy-duty electric stand mixer until fluffy. Gradually add egg whites, one-third at a time, beating well after each addition.
- 2. Sift together cake flour and baking powder; gradually add to butter mixture alternately with 1 cup water, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Stir in vanilla and almond extracts. Pour batter into 4 greased and floured 8-inch round cake pans. (I only did 3 pans)
- 3. Bake at 350° for 22 to 25 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pans on wire racks 10 minutes; remove from pans to wire racks, and cool completely (about 30 minutes).
- 4. Prepare Strawberry Mousse: Sprinkle gelatin over 1/4 cup water in a small bowl; let stand 5 minutes. Process 2 cups sliced strawberries and 1/4 cup granulated sugar in a blender or food processor until smooth, stopping to scrape down sides as needed. Transfer strawberry mixture to a small saucepan; bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Remove from heat. Add gelatin to strawberry mixture, stirring constantly until gelatin dissolves. Cover and chill until consistency of unbeaten egg whites, stirring occasionally (about 30 minutes). Mine took about 50 mins to get to this stage
- 5. Beat cream at low speed until foamy; increase speed to medium-high, and beat until soft peaks form. Fold whipped cream into strawberry mixture until well blended. (I added some red coloring) Cover and chill 30 minutes or just until mixture is thick enough to hold its shape when mounded.
- 6. Spread about 1 cup Strawberry Mousse between each cake layer, leaving a 1/4-inch border around edges; cover and chill 3 hours or until mousse is set.
- 7. Prepare Strawberry Frosting: Beat 3/4 cup softened butter at medium speed 20 seconds or until fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar and 3/4 cup finely chopped strawberries, beating at low speed until creamy. Spread frosting on top and sides of cake.
Now the reviews were mixed here....I'm guessing due to the fact that because the recipe said to do something for 30 mins....doesn't mean it is gonna take 30 mins. Each house temperature/oven/fridges are different. And so they commented they had mush for mousse. Well....the recipe DID said 30 mins to chill and stir the mousse OR until it was like egg whites unbeaten consistency. I actually used the freezer and then it took 50 mins to get to that consistency. I thought the recipe was RIGHT ON and everything came out beautifully.
Also, if you EVER have made a buttercream with butter and powdered sugar you know the sucker is going to melt so 1. work fast 2. stick it in fridge fast.
This frosting had the same ingredients that their Triple Decker does...but less butter and strawberries. I found it easier to work with and tasted just as yummy! In fact for the triple decker I'll prob use this one from now on (If your strawberries are too runny...liquid is the enemy here....I sometimes gently squeeze my strawberries between paper towels)
The mousse was a tad pale ....so I added a bit of my food coloring gel to it...
(anything to give it more pink...pink is pretty!!)
Also, it calls for 4 8" pans...I only did 3 pans....and it was huge!! I can't imagine 4 cake levels....but if you are going for dramatic ...go for it!!! The bigger the better I guess!
So if you are up for the challenge...I saw make this cake! It's a delicious cake...Southern Living has another winner on their hands again!

Mini Me told me I only looked 32....funny b/c I feel 25.
Yep....It's a day of celebration b/c today is the day many years ago (38 to be totally exact) the world got a little
No big plans...I mean after all it is just another day for us Mom's....
My oldest son did buy me this yesterday
After I picked him up from his ortho...he walked straight next door into a new cupcake store....It's called Cupcakes Cubed. Yes the cupcakes are cubed....and then out he walked with a huge smile on his face and a cute cubed box.
His words were sweet and typical...."happy early birthday....you have to split this with me"
I ended up splitting my half in half and half again....Too many little faces were staring at me....but the little bite I did have was yummy!
The inlaws can't come tonight for traditional Wednesday dinner...so instead they are bringing pizza tomorrow and Me and Hubs are off on a date. First one since before Reid was born. I picked a steak restaurant. I mean I am craving a steak, but I know how excited my hubby will be to get away and eat some meat like a real man!
As oldest was in his ortho appt I ran into Target and bought
Hubs said I've already received my gift....a new baby. But hey....isn't that a joint gift? I said I'd like a 'just yours and only yours' kind of gift....b/c if I understand correctly I have to share #6.
As for #6....I think he might have a name....we have tossed names around and changed names a gazillion ....but for the past 2 weeks we have been calling #6 "Coop". So I have a feeling Cooper it is.....
I was 23 weeks on Monday....growing bigger by the minute and my first symptom has struck....the ever kind heart burn....with the added enjoyment of that "freaky tart/sour taste on the back of the tongue that no matter what you drink, eat, or brush it won't leave" taste. Monday night I had heart burn so bad I thought I had food poisoning. Not a good thing to think you're dying a slow painful death.....(basically it hurt)
All in All today will be terrific....I'm making my most favorite pasta sauce tonight for dinner...and Mini Me and I will make brownies!! (The real cake comes tomorrow after date night)

And I have to admit I'm intrigued and scared by this one ...
Here watch the video
Now the camera where I can say "take a picture" would be awesome when you are with your kids and they do something cute (I'm such a mom)
Or when you are meeting mom's for the first time for a new playgroup and know no one....you can ask if they are there yet....(again such a mom)
Or you could ask if there are any flea markets or garage sales in the area....and it maps it for you....(yes, I know our phones can do this...but imagine never having to look down)
What scares me is now is ANYONE could find us in a room.
are we becoming lazier in this world and now our goal is the easy way?
Remember when phone books were a thing you actually had in your house? You know that cabinet that had about 3 huge yellow books....and you actually had to look things up with your fingers?
Or our rotary phone? When we had to actually dial each number and wait a sec before dialing next one?
Or when we had to change the channels on the TV by actually getting up off the couch and turning it?
I used to watch the Jetson's and be totally amazed at the video telephones....I remember saying "They will NEVER EVER have that"
Well hello FaceTime
Mini Me is always saying how she can't wait until we have flying cars....I used to tell her it will never happen....Now I'm not so sure.
Speaking of growing up too fast...
This morning Little Sheepy-Who and I were making Chocolate Chip Pancakes....
I stepped away for a minute and saw her feeding her "Pet Llama" some chocolate chips!
They are sooo cute together!

Well I have been on the hunt!
My Sis In Law...told me about the button at Hobby Lobby.....I ran straight there...(Thanks Jen). I also got the tin L there too...(love that store)
(sorry took with my cell phone...flash was on)
My In Laws had an old map ....so I just made the M....
Things I learned about Spray Adhesive? It's totally not my friend...
For starters I guess I didn't have my smarts cap on.
I thought I was being smart....I read the back instructions....(for once)
It said to be able to move it and reposition (which hello....of course I will) to spray it and leave for about 3-5 mins .....if you want a quick set apply immediately.
So I think about going outside to spray, but didn't want the little kids following me....I mean seriously when they hear a door crack they come a'running. So I walked into the hallway and sprayed.....
One my fingers and hand were getting hit.....and then I realized the spray was hitting the floor....
So I do what any smart person does and step in it to see if it's sticky!
Reid decides to walk in the mess too....now we are both sticking to the floor....
I run and place the M on my work space and rush to get floor cleaner to stop the stick.....That worked...(I think)
But my forearm and wrist and fingers are sticky....oh and bottom of my feet.....ohh my. I stepped onto the rug and whatever dog hair was there? Is now on the bottom of my feet.
I thought that I didn't have time to clean me...it had already been 3-5 mins....I needed to start sticking the map on....
Again ....not an easy task....took me forever to get it just right and w/o any ripples. I'd pull the map up gently...and some of it would tear (maps aren't real sturdy creatures to begin with)
I finally got it just so.....but I realized what a sticky mess I was....
I tried soap and warm water...nothing...
I've tried pouring nail polish remover on my hands and wrist....nothing....
I grabbed the bottle .....nothing about removing from skin.
Really? As if I'm the first person to do something this stupid?
Now as I type I am sticking to the keyboard...
Things I've learned about spray adhesive? I suck at it.
But the map didn't turn out too bad....(if I say so myself)
I'm just gonna be really careful in the future of how I spray this stuff....
Keep your eyes open for really cool different Letters for me....
This is the bedding I'm bidding on on Ebay....
ends tomorrow....I'm top bidder at $15.99....I thought all the colors of letters on the wall would look terrific with this bedding!!

I get the concept...SIMPLE.
I like simple....There are days when I start prepping the food at 10am...so all my grunt work is done....and I start cooking at 4...dinner by 5:15-5:30 ....then by the time I clean up the mess...it's close to 6...
Point of story...I like simple every once in a while....
Enter Sweet (always chipper...always smiling...and always perfectly groomed even when she should be sweating) Sandra Lee.
I adore her...Her tablescapes are always adorable....If money were no object I would totally have a theme for each meal/dinner party.
Her meals though are hit or miss with us....The Chicken and Dumplings recipe I use is her's and my fam's favorite...
Tonight I was looking for something fast....Hubs always says I should have a few boxes of the nasty hamburger helper on hand....but I can't bring myself to use them.
Then I ran across her Sept/Oct 2010 issue (I'm way behind) and found
1/2 cup water
1 pound ground chuck
2 tablespoons chili mix, McCormick® Original Chili Seasoning Mix
- In a large heavy-bottomed pot, prepare macaroni according to package directions. Stir in 1/2 cup water; remove from heat; cover, and keep warm.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef, stirring occasionally, for 7 to 8 minutes, or until browned and crumbly. Drain well, and return to skillet. Stir in chili mix and macaroni mixture. Cook, stirring occasionally, over medium-high heat for 3 to 4 minutes, or until heated through and bubbly.
Kate said "Hey mom...that took you about 5 mins to make and its really good"
Yep....that's what I like....quick and easy....Gonna make this again next week ....
Ok....do any of you have those little crazy Lalaloopsy dolls? Miss Lily is crazy about them and has a few (or million) Then she discovered the Mini ones...and her GiGi and Daddy have been surprising her with special treats weekly
This one is by far my favorite to play with her....the details on some of the mini accessories are adorable.....Lily has been stuck in make believe land for hours a day.
It's amazing to sit back and watch a 3 yr old mind at work....she put a few of the dolls near the tent on their back....she said they were looking up at the stars and then sang a "i wish upon a star" song....
This is by far my favorite age.....
Also....again to remind you....ENTER THE GIVEAWAY...FREE BOOKS FOR YOUR CHILD....ENDS THIS WEDNESDAY!!!

Yesterday we went out to dinner as a family.....yes all 7 of us and a pregnant momma....I had garage sale money and momma was craving this little Mexican Tortilla place....so off we went at 4:30... Yes with this crowd we eat early. (actually by the time we load up....drive...pile out of car....it's close to 5)
Dinner was divine....in fact another older couple was commenting on how lovely all the children were ...and wanted to take Lily home...(I really hope they were kidding)
Next door there was a Target and some of the boys (hubs included) needed new shorts....so off we went. (I mean hello TARGET)
Child #2 said he wasn't coming in....Oh yes you are....Just roll the windows down mom I'm staying. Nope....get out of the car and join the family.....besides it's too hot to do that....So off #2 went with a huge pout. He's only an extra after all.....(do you remember the story of Mini Me claiming he was only an extra b/c we never hear from him in the family?....click here)
Typical Target shopping experience with lots of kids....buggy pushing wars....chasing....laughing....begging for things etc...
Back to car and headed home.....
All is good so far...
Got home pretty late ...enough time to bath small urchins and get them in bed.....
By 8pm Mini Me and I bolted to the grocery store for our weekly groceries....I've since noticed...Mondays are too hard with 2 babies and a huge buggy full of food...
Sunday's are too crowded....Saturday EVENING...now that's what I'm talking about. I have the store to myself (with the exception of a few crazy ppl that you only see in photos on that "People of Walmart" site)
Mini Me is my 2nd buggy pusher....and it's our time to chat.
Once home....I unloaded....and then put my feet up! It's late and Momma is tired....but AHHH Life is good.
Hubs and I watched some TV and then I turned in....
(this is where it got mmmmm?)
I always check on all my babies before bed....You know...where you poke your head in and see all kids accounted for?
Mini Me was reading in her bed.....Oldest child was in game area playing video games....
Youngest sleeping like a babe in crib....I poke my head in Extra's room and it's dark....and I see lump in bed....I say "Hey what you doing"...no response....I asked Mini Me what Jake is doing and she said sleeping. (which is really odd since he NEVER EVER GOES TO SLEEP BEFORE ME ON WEEKEND) I assumed I over looked him and he was on computer in kitchen.....so off to bed....only to find Lily sideways in King size bed....literally taking every spot ...shove her over and I'm out like a light.
(yawn stretch ...it's morning)
Reid is first up....he wakes me to his chatter at 6:40....I lay there awake for 20 mins hoping he will talk himself back to sleep....nope...
Off I go.....after a quick morning nursing....I pop my head in #2's room b/c now I can see since the sun is rising....
well this is odd SINCE NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS WOULD HE GET UP BEFORE 7 FOR NO REASON .....
I run downstairs....no child had fallen asleep on couch....I rush to guestroom...no child....
My heart is about to come out my throat....I'm sick...
I'm rushing around like a mad woman searching and think
OH DEAR LORD WE LEFT HIM AT TARGET
Seriously that was all I could think of....
I'm in that panic stage of fear and not thinking straight...
I rush to sleeping hubs and shake him awake screaming we've lost Jake.
He rolls over....and asks me why I think this...
So I tell him ...
He starts dying laughing....reminding me I yelled at the big boys the whole ride home b/c they couldn't stop touching each other....(See I need that 15 passenger van)
Then where is he I shouted? OMG He snuck out....or was stolen....all the doors are locked and I can picture a cold child asleep on the bench outside....
Hubs is really laughing at this point.....
"Honey while you were gone at the store his buddy came by to ask if Jake could spend the night....I said ok"
then proceeds to wonder why I never noticed him gone when I came home....
Because I assumed he was playing computer games.....or asleep....
I feel like the worst mother in the world!
I want to ring his neck and hug him at the same time....
My sweet sweet extra!
(now it makes sense why he was the only child that didn't come out to help with the groceries when I came home....but in my defense...this is the same child that "yells bathroom break" whenever chores need to be done....)
Poor child #6....I hope he knows what he's in for with this family!
Hey don't forget about the giveaway...there's no reason to deny your children of free books.....(grins)
